Updated for 2014! - These trains go fast! Coca Cola(r) typically authorizes about one train set every two years to carry its colors. Hawthorne Village(r) was authorized to offer an On30 -scaled collection in 2004, and it sold out by 2006. The first collection on this page is a 2008 On30 issue that is similar to the 2004 collection. It wouldn't have lasted this long if there hadn't been an economic slowdown. It's still my favorite train on this page. For one thing, the chassis and motor are from Bachmann, one of the world's largest model train manufacturers, so you'll always be able to get parts and repairs. In 2010, it was joined by a diesel-powered HO collection that features old as well as new graphics, and is also selling well. A new HO-sized Coca Cola train that is inspired by the old Tiffany windows has also been added. Also, the first non-Hawthorne Village train that we've ever featured on this page is a 2012 Lionel train set that is also very nice and selling very fast.
On top of that, is a new collection of Coca Cola themed railroad accessories that will look good with any of the trains on this page.
This is the first year we have ever been able to show three Coca Cola-themed trains at one time! I don't know how long this will last, but I hope you don't wait too long to order the Hawthorne Village collection or the Lionel train set you want. They are all "limited editions" in the sense that they may become unavailable with no warning long before Christmas.
The Hawthorne Village(r) train collections are subscription trains. That means that you buy tem in installments, like a magazine. You get the locomotive in the first shipment, a car in the next, a car and the track in the next, and so on, so you should get started on your collection early. This is a delightful train and a great value, so get your order in early if you don't want to miss out! The last time Hawthorne Village ran out of their Coca Cola trains, there were lots of disappointed folks.

This page includes accessories that a Coca Cola(r) or Hawthorne Village(r) collector might be interested in purchasing to add interest to this set. If you don’t have a Christmas village started at all, and you like Coke(r) collectibles, consider one of the Hawthorne Village(r) subscription villages.
