Paul with Guitar
  • writes songs,
  • sings baritone, and
  • plays guitar, banjo, harmonica, piano, saxophone, and flute (but mostly guitar).

Paul's music is often compared to that of Jim Croce and Jimmy Buffet, although Paul prefers the work of Mark Heard and Rich Mullins. It’s original, thoughtful, upbeat, and seldom quite what you’d expect.

Paul emphasizes acoustic guitar sounds as he plays folk, blues, bluegrass and everything in between.

Paul has "been there, done that.’’

He grew up in an Ohio family that valued work and education. So Paul's worked all kinds of jobs, from cook to computer consultant. Mostly he writes books about computers, but also stories and articles on other topics. And he has studied and taught English, Music, Bible, and Business. But his most challenging experience has been parenting three daughters, two of which are now English teachers, too.

Paul’s songs reflect that experience.

They let you know he’s seen most sides of life, and that very little came easily. It’s no wonder people often remark that particular songs seem to speak especially to them and their situations, too.

Paul’s songs have been around, too.

Paul has performed many hundreds of times, in coffeehouses, schools, churches, festivals, and just about anyplace in between. He is constantly adding new songs and sounds to his repertoire and is excited about sharing their message wherever people need encouragement.
